AI rap video templates: 8 scenes and when to use each

On AI Rap Video, a template is a scene: a place, its lighting and stage effects, and the way the camera moves. You bring one photo for a solo or two for a duet, and the scene decides where you end up rapping. Every video comes with AI vocals and a beat, runs 10 or 15 seconds, and is filmed as one continuous take with no cuts.

Below is every scene, what it looks like, and the kind of rap it suits. The clips were made on this site from ordinary photos. Tap one to play it with sound.

Pick by occasion

• A birthday or a celebration: House party, or Main stage if it is a big one.
• A friendly roast: Car freestyle or Parents go platinum.
• A duet with a friend: Rooftop cypher, or Hotel Lobby if your friend would rather dance than rap.
• A team win: Main stage.
• A friendly rivalry: Rap battle.
• Something that looks like a real release: Booth session.

Booth session: the studio take

A recording booth at night, with acoustic foam on the walls, a warm amber light from the front and a purple light from behind. A little haze catches the beams and an LED level meter on the wall bounces to the beat. Solo, you wear over-ear headphones and rap into a big studio microphone while the camera slowly pushes in to a close-up. As a duet, you share one microphone and trade lines.

It is the most serious of the scenes, so it suits lyrics you want taken seriously: a first single, a shout-out to someone who made it, or a verse about your own name.

Main stage: arena lights and a crowd

A packed arena: spotlights sweep the crowd, lasers cut through stage smoke, strobes flash on the beat, sparks shoot up on the drop and the crowd holds up phone lights. The camera glides in from above the crowd and then circles you. In a duet, each of you holds a microphone and you trade verses at the front of the stage.

Use it when the occasion deserves a stadium: a team that just won, a graduation, a promotion, a big birthday.

Rap battle: face to face in the circle

An underground battle at night in a bare concrete warehouse: a tight circle of fans, one hard white spotlight cutting through haze, red work lights at the edges and phone lights in the crowd. This scene always takes two photos, and nobody waits their turn: you both rap at the same time for the whole clip, leaning in and pointing at each other, while the crowd reacts to every line. The camera circles the two of you so both faces stay in view.

It is made for a friendly rivalry: siblings, roommates, fans of rival teams, or a couple settling who is the better driver.

Rooftop cypher: city lights at night

A city rooftop at night with the skyline behind you, neon reflecting on wet concrete and string lights pulsing to the beat. Solo, you rap straight to the lens while the camera circles. As a duet, the two of you face each other in a cypher and take turns, the way friends trade verses after midnight.

This is the scene for two people who both want to rap. Best friends, siblings, a couple with a running joke.

Hotel Lobby: the orange backdrop trend

The look from the viral trend: a plain burnt-orange backdrop fills the frame and a single silver microphone hangs down on a thin cable, with no stand. The camera stays still at eye level. Solo, you rap toward the hanging microphone, rocking gently on the beat. As a duet, the first photo raps and the second person dances beside them on the same beat, mouth closed, and does one slow full turn.

Put the friend who loves to dance in the second photo. The topic can be anything, since the look carries the joke.

Car freestyle: front seat, beat up

Inside a parked car at night, filmed by a phone on the dashboard. City lights glow through the windows, LED strip lights pulse with the bass and the rearview mirror shakes with the speakers. Solo, you freestyle from the driver's seat. As a duet, you sit in the two front seats and take turns.

It feels the most casual of all the scenes, which makes it right for roasts, road trips and inside jokes.

House party: disco ball and confetti

A living room at night: a disco ball throws moving spots of light, party lights flash on the beat, balloons float near the ceiling and confetti bursts on the drop while friends dance and cheer behind you. Solo, you hype the room from the middle of it. As a duet, you take turns on one microphone.

Birthdays are the obvious fit, but so is any reason to celebrate: a new job, a new apartment, the last exam.

Parents go platinum: gold chains for mom and dad

A lavish living room styled like a superstar's music video, with platinum records on the wall, gold lens flares, glitter in the air and a warm backlight. The people in the photos wear thick gold chains with sunglasses pushed up on their heads and rap to a low camera that slowly circles. Use one parent for a solo or both for a duo.

Made for anniversaries, a parent's birthday or a family group chat that needs a surprise. They did not ask for this, and that is the point.

Solo or duet

Every scene except Rap battle works with one photo or two, and Rap battle always takes two. With one photo, that person raps the whole video. With two, the two people perform together: in most scenes they take turns, and the scene asks the one who is not rapping to keep their mouth closed, so the lips follow the voice. There are two exceptions: in Hotel Lobby the second person dances instead, and in Rap battle both of you rap at the same time.

Getting a good result

• Photos: a sharp, well-lit photo of one adult looking at the camera, face clear and uncovered. Photos of minors, celebrities and public figures are not accepted.
• Topic: optional, up to 240 characters. A name, an occasion and one detail work best, like "Sam's 30th birthday, he never stops talking about pizza".
• Language: the rap can be in English or German.
• Length, shape and quality: 10 or 15 seconds, portrait 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts or landscape 16:9, and 480p, 720p or 1080p. The credit cost shows on the button before you start, and a video that fails gives the credits back.
